The chart carries a promise of marriage before it carries a date. This calculator reads that promise from the 7th house, its lord, Venus, Jupiter, the Upapada and the Darakaraka. It reports whether the chart leans early, average or later than average.

Get Started NowIt then scores every Vimshottari mahadasha and antardasha between the ages set, with the double transit of Jupiter and Saturn on the 7th. The 3 likeliest windows are named as month ranges.
The windows show when the chart opens the door. Whether a person walks through it depends on their choices, their family and the partner's chart. Take the top window as the period to be ready in, and have the 2 charts read together when a proposal comes.
For a marriage already made, the timing questions are settled. The chart still answers how the 2 people meet each other's nature. The 7th house, Venus, the Moon and the navamsa of each chart show that. The Kundali Matching and Love Compatibility pages read those.
How Is It Calculated
The promise is a count of factors. Benefics in or aspecting the 7th, its lord in a kendra or trikona in good dignity, and Venus and Jupiter well placed are supportive. So are benefics on the Upapada.
Malefics on the 7th, its lord in a dusthana or combust, and Saturn or the nodes on the 1st-7th axis are delaying. So are malefics in the 2nd from the Upapada. The total decides the tendency: early, average or later than average.
The significators are the 7th lord, planets in the 7th, Venus, the Darakaraka and the Upapada lord. The 2nd and 11th lords and the nakshatra lords of the 7th lord and Venus join them. Every mahadasha and antardasha between the ages set is scored by how many of its 2 lords are significators. A lord connected with the 7th adds a point.
A period scores higher when Jupiter and Saturn both occupy or aspect the 7th house or its lord at the same time. This double transit is read from the lagna and from the Moon. When it holds inside a scored period, the window narrows to the overlap. Jupiter takes a year to cross a sign and Saturn two and a half, so the answer is a month range.
Understanding Your Result
Each delaying factor is listed with the supportive factors that offset it. Saturn's aspect on the 7th delays, and a strong 7th lord in a kendra offsets it. A chart with several delays and no offsets tends to marry later, after the person has settled their work or their doubts. No chart in this reading denies marriage.
A window with all 4 signals has significators as both dasha lords, a connection with the 7th, and the double transit holding. That is the period to prepare for. A window with 2 signals is a period in which a match can come with effort from the family and the person.
The windows belong to your chart alone. The partner's chart has its own windows, and the marriage falls where the 2 overlap. Read the 7th house and the navamsa of both charts together before fixing on a period.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the calculator find the timing of marriage?
It scores every Vimshottari mahadasha and antardasha between the ages set by the lords that signify marriage. Those are the 7th lord, planets in the 7th, Venus, the Darakaraka and the Upapada lord. The 2nd and 11th lords and the nakshatra lords of the 7th lord and Venus join them. A period in which Jupiter and Saturn both transit or aspect the 7th house or its lord scores higher.
Why is the answer a month range and not a date?
The timing rests on dasha periods and on the transits of Jupiter and Saturn. An antardasha runs for months or years, Jupiter stays a year in a sign and Saturn two and a half. Those tools point to a season, and the month range is the honest width of that season. A date would claim a precision the method does not have.
What does "later than average" mean?
More factors in the chart delay than support. Each delaying factor is shown next to the supportive ones that offset it. The page never reads a chart as denying marriage.
What is the double transit?
Jupiter and Saturn at the same time occupying or aspecting the 7th house or its lord, counted from the lagna or from the Moon. When both hold inside a scored period, the window narrows to that overlap.
Does gender change the reading?
Venus and Jupiter are read for everyone. The rule that reads Jupiter as the karaka of the husband is off by default and can be switched on in the rules.
Do I need an exact birth time?
Yes. The 7th house, its lord and the Upapada all depend on the lagna, and the dasha balance at birth on the Moon.
