August has been a heavy month. Two eclipses and a loaded nodal axis have left very little room to move. September carries none of that.
The month starts slowly and picks up after the middle. Three openings drive it. Venus enters Libra on September 2. Mercury reaches exaltation in Virgo on September 7. Mars enters Cancer on September 18 and joins exalted Jupiter there.
Read the sections below from your Moon sign first, then from your rising sign. Where the two differ, the Moon reading tells you what the month feels like and the Lagna reading tells you what actually takes shape. The Moon sign calculator and the rising sign calculator will settle both in a minute.

Mercury is combust until September 10
Mercury reaches Virgo on September 7 while still inside the Sun's rays. Most forecasts you will read date the exaltation from that day. It only starts working from the 10th.
From there it holds until September 25, with the sharpest point around September 15 and 16 in Hasta. Put the negotiation, the paperwork, and the hard thinking in that window. The first week of the month is for tidying up.
Retrograde Saturn is watching Virgo
Saturn sits in Revati and throws its seventh drishti straight across into Virgo. It lands on exalted Mercury first, then on the Sun after September 17. Mercury faces Saturn directly around September 18 and 19.
This is what is behind the returned documents, the approval that takes three weeks, and the file that comes back for one more signature. It applies to all twelve rashis. Anyone selling you September as a month of fast decisions has skipped this part.
Mars and Jupiter share Cancer without meeting
Mars enters Cancer on September 18 at the very start of the sign. Jupiter is sitting near 21 degrees, in Ashlesha. They stay 16 to 20 degrees apart for the rest of the month and only close in late October.
Mars is also nowhere near its deepest point of debility, and it travels through Punarvasu and then Pushya, which are gentle places to be. Jupiter's presence in the sign cancels the debility. That much is neecha bhanga in the plain sense.
Whether it rises to a raja yoga is a question about your chart, since that verdict needs kendra positions from your own Lagna and Moon. Treat the blanket version of this claim with care.
The month splits on September 17
Until the 16th, the Sun shares Leo with Ketu, Mars presses Virgo from Gemini, and Mercury is burnt for the first ten days. Repair work, revision, and clearing what August left behind.
From the 17th the board opens. The Sun enters Virgo on Kanya Sankranti and forms Budhaditya Yoga with Mercury. Mars shifts into Cancer. Both benefics reach Libra by September 26. Pitru Paksha begins on the 27th and turns the last days toward the ancestors.
Predictions for all twelve rashis

Aries (Mesha)
The sixth house takes almost everything this month. The Sun arrives there on September 17. Mercury occupies it from September 7 to 25, and retrograde Saturn keeps its drishti on it throughout.
Work sharpens. So does competition. Preparation wins here, and force does not.
Mars leaves your third house on September 18 and joins Jupiter in the fourth. Both aspect your tenth from there. Whatever you settle at home shows up in your work a week or two later.
Venus holds your seventh all month and looks back at your Lagna. Partnership goes easily when you keep the tone soft.
One timing note. Have the difficult conversation before the 17th, and sign the new commitment after the 20th.
Taurus (Vrishabha)
Your fifth house is where the month happens. Mercury is exalted there from September 7 to 25, the Sun joins on September 17, and Saturn watches from your eleventh.
Study, creative output, and anything involving children or students all move. Saturn's part in this is simple. Finish what you already began.
Venus, your Lagna lord, sits in the sixth from September 2. It settles disputes by talking rather than fighting. Old dues and workplace friction respond to a polite, direct approach.
Jupiter is in your third and Mars joins on September 18, so effort comes easier. Income reviews take longer than you expect, with Saturn retrograde in your house of gains.
The best working stretch is September 10 to 25. Spend it on the piece you keep postponing.
Gemini (Mithuna)
Everything gathers in your fourth house. Mercury occupies it from September 7 to 25, the Sun enters on September 17, and Mars aspects it from your Lagna until the same date. Property, family arrangements, and your own peace of mind arrive together.
Retrograde Saturn sits in your tenth and receives Jupiter's drishti from the second. Career moves at Saturn's pace. Read every document twice around September 18 and 19, when Mercury faces Saturn across the chart.
Mars enters your second on September 18, where Jupiter already sits. Your speech carries more force than usual. Let the other person finish before you answer.
Settle the property question between September 20 and 25.
Cancer (Karka)
Exalted Jupiter holds your Lagna in Ashlesha, and Mars arrives in the same sign on September 18. You become more present and shorter-tempered in the same movement.
Jupiter aspects your fifth, seventh, and ninth. Learning goes well, elders are available, and partnership has real support behind it.
Mercury crosses your third from September 7 to 25 and the Sun follows on September 17. Writing, marketing, and self-directed work pick up. Saturn, retrograde in your ninth, would rather you reopened an old plan than started a new one.
Venus enters your fourth on September 2 and home softens. From September 18, Mars aspects your seventh, where insisting on being right will cost you something.
Ashlesha rewards a steady grip. Hold your position without squeezing it.
Leo (Simha)
Ketu holds your Lagna in Magha all month and the Sun leaves on September 17. The first half puts a plain question to you: who are you without the roles you carry? Sitting with that will serve you better than filling the days with activity.
Your second house builds steadily. Mercury enters on September 7, the Sun on September 17, and Venus supports from your third. Speech, savings, and family income improve from mid-month.
Jupiter is in your twelfth and Mars joins on September 18. The month's real return comes from foreign matters, research, and work nobody is watching. Expenses climb alongside it. Saturn is retrograde in your eighth, so shared money moves slowly.
Quiet work pays you more this month than visible work.
Virgo (Kanya)
The calendar and the chart agree for once. Mercury, your Lagna lord, is exalted in your own sign from September 7 to 25, and the Sun enters your Lagna on September 17. Presentation and personal authority both rise, sharpest around September 15 and 16.
Retrograde Saturn aspects your Lagna from the seventh all month. Someone close will hold you to your word. Meet that directly and the same drishti turns into support.
Venus enters your second on September 2 and strengthens speech and family wealth. Jupiter in your eleventh brings long-pending wishes within reach. Mars gets there on September 18 and speeds up group work.
Your best interview, launch, or presentation belongs to September 15 to 24.
Libra (Tula)
This is the cleanest board of the twelve. Venus sits in your Lagna in its own mulatrikona for the whole month. Exalted Jupiter holds your tenth. Mercury joins your Lagna on September 26.
All three then occupy kendras from your Lagna, which is the arrangement behind Saraswati Yoga. Check it against your own chart before taking it as settled.
Career moves. Jupiter aspects your second, fourth, and sixth from the tenth, so a rise in standing carries through to income and home. Mars enters the tenth on September 18 and pushes what Jupiter opened.
Mercury spends September 7 to 25 in your twelfth, which suits foreign dealings and back-end preparation. Saturn is retrograde in your sixth and keeps competition slow.
Start the new venture between September 20 and 30, once that twelfth house passage finishes.
Scorpio (Vrischika)
The Sun holds your tenth until September 16, then moves to your eleventh. Recognition first, returns after. Mercury runs the same route, sitting in your eleventh from September 7 to 25 and lifting income through networks and communication.
Jupiter occupies your ninth and aspects your Lagna, third, and fifth. Teachers, publishing, and long travel all carry weight. Mars joins the ninth on September 18, which turns that house from reflective to active.
Venus enters your twelfth on September 2. Comfort spending rises and rest stops being optional. Saturn, retrograde in your fifth, slows creative and educational work and asks for another draft.
The second half favours anything that widens your reach past your own city.
Sagittarius (Dhanu)
Your tenth lord Mercury is exalted in your tenth from September 7 to 25. Your ninth lord, the Sun, joins it on September 17. Ninth lord and tenth lord meeting in the tenth is a dharma karmadhipati arrangement, and across all twelve rashis it is the strongest career signature of the month.
Retrograde Saturn aspects the same house from your fourth. The opening is real and the paperwork is slow. Approvals and government-linked work arrive in stages.
Mars leaves your seventh on September 18 for your eighth, where Jupiter already sits. Partnership pressure eases. Shared finances and inheritance become active, and Venus in your eleventh supports gains all month.
Put your case forward between September 17 and 25, then allow until October for the answer.
Capricorn (Makara)
Venus, your yoga karaka, enters your tenth on September 2 and holds mulatrikona there all month. Working conditions improve and seniors become easier to deal with. Mercury, your ninth lord, is exalted in your ninth from September 7 to 25, then joins Venus in the tenth on September 26.
That last move puts your ninth and tenth lords together in the house of career. Fortune and effort point the same way in the final week.
Jupiter aspects your Lagna from the seventh and steadies the whole board. Mars enters the seventh on September 18 and aspects your tenth and Lagna, so partnership talks run hot.
Saturn, your Lagna lord, is retrograde in your third. Be patient with siblings and short travel.
The last week of September is your best stretch. Hold the important conversation for it.
Aquarius (Kumbha)
Rahu holds your Lagna in Dhanishta and Saturn, your Lagna lord, is retrograde in your second. Mental restlessness and slow income sit behind the whole month. Routine will carry you further than any single decision.
Mercury crosses your eighth from September 7 to 25 and the Sun joins on September 17. Research, accounting, law, and anything that needs depth rather than speed go well here. Read loan and insurance papers carefully in this stretch.
Venus enters your ninth on September 2 and lifts travel and dealings with distant places. Mars reaches your sixth on September 18, where Jupiter already sits. Between them, opposition at work loses its footing.
Keep sleep and meals regular. The load this month is mental more than practical.
Pisces (Meena)
Saturn is retrograde in your Lagna in Revati, with Jupiter's drishti reaching it from your fifth. The weight is real. So is the protection. Discipline of the day and honesty with yourself matter more than usual.
Mercury is exalted in your seventh from September 7 to 25 and the Sun enters on September 17. Partnerships and trade discussions come forward. Saturn aspects the same house from your Lagna, so agreements need to be specific and written down.
Mars moves from your fourth to your fifth on September 18 and joins Jupiter. Creative work and children take energy. Venus in your eighth supports gains through shared resources.
Finalise the partnership agreement between September 20 and 25, with every term on paper.
Remedies and sacred dates
Remedy here means work on the mind. The outer practice matters because it shapes attention, and attention is what changes the result.
Four things are worth doing this month:
- Close one unfinished obligation. Saturn is retrograde in Revati all month and asks for finishing rather than starting.
- Read every document twice from September 7 to 25. Mercury sits under Saturn's drishti in this window. Keep a written record of what was agreed verbally, and delay any signature that can wait around September 18 and 19.
- Watch your temper from September 18. Mars in a water sign turns anger inward, usually toward the family. Exercise, early meals, and silence when provoked will hold it.
- Repair one relationship you have let drift. Venus in Libra is the easiest opening of the month.
The month also carries strong days for practice:
- September 4: Krishna Janmashtami
- September 14: Hartalika Teej and Ganesh Chaturthi
- September 15 in India, September 16 in Nepal: Rishi Panchami
- September 17: Kanya Sankranti and Vishwakarma Puja
- September 19: Radha Ashtami
- September 25: Anant Chaturdashi, and Indra Jatra begins in Kathmandu
- September 26: Bhadrapada Purnima
- September 27: Pitru Paksha begins
Jupiter in Ashlesha and the Sun in Virgo make the Pitru Paksha fortnight unusually receptive. Perform tarpan on the tithi that matches your ancestor's passing, or on Sarva Pitru Amavasya if the day is unknown.
Feeding others, particularly the elderly, carries the same weight for anyone unable to perform the formal ritual.
Closing
September rewards preparation over speed. The first sixteen days go to repair and revision, with Mercury burnt until the 10th and Saturn slowing every official process. From the 17th the board opens: the Sun and Mercury together in Virgo, Mars released into Cancer beside exalted Jupiter, Venus holding Libra in its own mulatrikona.
The grahas here are your own tendencies meeting their reflection in time. Read them from your Moon and your Lagna together, act in the second half rather than the first, and give the last days of the month to those who came before you.
