These dates follow the mean node, which vedicmarga.com uses. Sites that use the true node move Ketu into Cancer on 25 November, so their Leo window is about 25 days long. Their exact meetings also shift by a few days.

Is the Jupiter Ketu Conjunction Guru Chandal Yoga?
No classical text gives this combination a yoga name. Some websites call it Guru Chandal yoga. In BPHS 3.41, Parashara gives the Chandala status to Rahu, so the name Guru Chandal belongs to Jupiter with Rahu. The labels Ganesha yoga and Dhwaja yoga for Jupiter with Ketu are modern, and the classical Dhwaja yoga is an unrelated Nabhasa yoga.
The gandanta
By a common definition, the last pada of Ashlesha and the first pada of Magha form the gandanta, where water meets fire. Jupiter stops at 2°47' Leo in this stay. The whole Leo meeting takes place inside this junction, which many astrologers treat as sensitive.

Between the Rounds: 5 December to 25 January
On 5 December the nodes change signs. Ketu enters the last degree of Cancer, inside the same gandanta, and Rahu enters Capricorn. Jupiter stays just across the sign line in Leo, so their sign contact pauses for 7 weeks.
