Mars Transit in Aries

Aries is Mangala's own sign, and its first twelve degrees form the moolatrikona. Mars holds full command here for about forty days, in a sign no other graha owns, and its energy meets no obstruction.

Aries governs the head, courage and the first act. In its own sign Mars gives direct effort along with a short temper. Work started now moves fast. Accidents and cuts rise where speed outruns attention.

The nakshatras are Ashwini, Bharani and Krittika. Ashwini, under Ketu, suits surgery, travel and quick repair. Bharani, under Venus, holds the discipline a beginning needs to survive, and Krittika, under the Sun, closes the stay with cutting decisiveness.

Classical gochara counts Mars well in the third, sixth and eleventh from the natal Moon: Aquarius, Scorpio and Gemini Moons. Aries Moons hold it in the first, where the temper and the blood both run hot. Cancer Moons carry it in the tenth and Libra Moons in the seventh, and both find it taxing.

A strong Mars shows a person the shape of their own will, and any force used where patience was needed shows up quickly. Physical work and disciplined exercise are the best outlets for the energy. Guard the head and drive carefully.

• Recite the Hanuman Chalisa on Tuesday through the stay.
• Give red lentils or copper on Tuesday, the dana for Mangala.
• Spend the energy in physical work before it turns to anger.

Mars in Aries for each Moon sign

Counted from the natal Moon, following Phaladeepika. Read the ascendant the same way. Vedha and the birth chart can change the result.
