Mars Transit in Sagittarius

Sagittarius belongs to Jupiter, and Mars counts Jupiter a friend. Mangala passes through in about thirty-nine days, one of its shorter stays. Fire and dharma stand together here, and effort takes on purpose.

Sagittarius governs the thighs, dharma, teaching and long travel. Mars here pushes for a cause, and travel, training and arguments over principle all increase. Zeal can harden into righteousness.

The nakshatras are Mula, Purva Ashadha and Uttara Ashadha. Mula, under Ketu, opens by tearing at roots and suits necessary endings. Purva Ashadha, under Venus, brings conviction and the drive to win an argument, and Uttara Ashadha, under the Sun, closes the stay with results that hold.

Classical gochara counts Mars well in the third, sixth and eleventh from the natal Moon, which here means Libra, Cancer and Aquarius Moons. Sagittarius Moons hold it in the first, where the hips and thighs take strain. Pisces Moons carry it in the tenth and Gemini Moons in the seventh.

Beliefs get defended hard during this stay, and acting on a principle settles the question quickly.

Guard the thighs and warm up before exercise.

• Recite Om Kram Kreem Kraum Sah Bhaumaya Namah on Tuesday.
• Act on one principle you have only argued for so far.
• During Mula, end what has already finished inwardly.

Mars in Sagittarius for each Moon sign

Counted from the natal Moon, following Phaladeepika. Read the ascendant the same way. Vedha and the birth chart can change the result.
