Mars Transit in Scorpio

Scorpio is Mangala's own sign, held for about forty-one days, and Mars commands it with full strength. The sign is watery and fixed, which turns the force inward, so little of this stay shows on the surface.

Scorpio governs the excretory organs, secrets, research and sudden change. In its own sign Mars gives the endurance for long, hidden work, and surgery, investigation and occult study all go well. Resentment held quietly grows stronger during the stay.

The nakshatras are Vishakha, Anuradha and Jyeshtha. Vishakha, under Jupiter, opens with fixed purpose, Anuradha, under Saturn, is the steadiest stretch and suits devotion and long practice, and Jyeshtha, under Mercury, closes with rivalry and questions of rank.

Classical gochara counts Mars well in the third, sixth and eleventh from the natal Moon: Virgo, Gemini and Capricorn Moons. Scorpio Moons hold it in the first, where sleep breaks and the temper hardens. Aquarius Moons carry it in the tenth and Taurus Moons in the seventh.

A strong Mars in a hidden sign shows a person what they hold against others. Resentment kept unspoken for years surfaces with force here, and facing it directly ends it. Carried further, it takes a toll on the body.

Long practice and hard training both suit the stay.

• Recite the Hanuman Chalisa on Tuesday through the stay.
• Take up sustained practice during Anuradha and hold it daily.
• Settle one old grievance in plain words.

Mars in Scorpio for each Moon sign

Counted from the natal Moon, following Phaladeepika. Read the ascendant the same way. Vedha and the birth chart can change the result.
