Rahu Transit in Virgo

Virgo belongs to Mercury, Rahu's friend in the usual lists, and a few texts give Virgo as Rahu's own sign. For about a year and a half it amplifies the sign's themes: work, service, health, precision, technical skill, debts and daily routine. Technology, medicine and analysis prosper, and so do worry and obsession with detail.

Ketu stands in Pisces, the sign of moksha. Rahu binds the mind to tasks and Ketu loosens it toward the formless. The person may swing between overwork and a longing to leave it all. Balanced, the axis gives a worker who serves with skill and prays without effort.

The nakshatras are Uttara Phalguni, Hasta and Chitra. Rahu moves backward, so Chitra, ruled by Mars, opens the transit with design and a hunger for visible results. Hasta, ruled by the Moon, is the most skilful third, with craft and healing hands amplified. Uttara Phalguni, the Sun's nakshatra, closes the stay with a test of honest work.

Rahu's favourable transit houses, the third, sixth and eleventh from the Moon, fall to Cancer, Aries and Scorpio Moon signs. Virgo Moons carry Rahu in the first house and feel anxiety about health and a push toward foreign work. Pisces Moons have Ketu in the first and Rahu in the seventh, where partnership and business alliances turn unusual. Aquarius Moons meet Rahu in the eighth and Libra Moons in the twelfth, and the same count runs from the lagna.

What is shown is the mind's need for control. Rahu in Virgo turns care into worry and reveals where perfectionism hides fear. Health complaints during the stay are often nervous in origin and ease with rest.

The remedy is service without anxiety. Serve the sick, worship Durga, and recite Om Ram Rahave Namah. Dark cloth and sesame on Saturday are the traditional dana. Keep the diet clean, since Rahu in Virgo disturbs digestion, and rest at a fixed hour.
