Rahu Transit in Libra

Libra belongs to Venus, Rahu's friend in the usual lists, and Rahu gives well in this sign of relationship and trade. For about a year and a half it amplifies partnership, marriage, business, courts, foreign dealings and the hunger for approval. Alliances with unusual or distant people form quickly, and some of them last.

Ketu stands in Aries, the sign of the self. Rahu pours attention outward onto the partner and the public, and Ketu drains confidence in one's own direction, so the person may define themselves through others during this transit. Meeting the partner as an equal restores the balance.

The nakshatras are Chitra, Swati and Vishakha. Rahu moves backward, so Vishakha, ruled by Jupiter, opens the transit with ambition turned toward a purpose. Swati is Rahu's own nakshatra, and its third of the stay is the strongest, with independence, trade and travel amplified. Chitra, ruled by Mars, closes the stay with visible results and a hunger for the next design.

Rahu's favourable transit houses, the third, sixth and eleventh from the Moon, fall to Leo, Taurus and Sagittarius Moon signs. Libra Moons carry Rahu in the first house and feel a restless charm, indecision and a pull toward foreign partners. Aries Moons have Ketu in the first and Rahu in the seventh, where marriage and business partnership become the whole story.
