What Rahu in Sagittarius means

Sagittarius belongs to Jupiter, neutral toward Rahu in the usual lists, and some texts give this sign as Rahu's fall. Rahu is uneasy in the house of dharma. For about a year and a half it amplifies faith, teachers, law, philosophy and long travel, bending each toward the foreign.

Ketu stands in Gemini, the sign of speech and information. Rahu chases new gurus and grand beliefs, and Ketu withdraws from ordinary conversation and detail. The person may adopt a foreign philosophy wholesale and lose the ability to explain it. Discernment is the whole work of this axis.

The nakshatras are Mula, Purva Ashadha and Uttara Ashadha. Rahu moves backward, so Uttara Ashadha, the Sun's nakshatra, opens the stay with a test of the path one has kept. Purva Ashadha, ruled by Venus, is the middle third, where persuasion runs ahead of proof. Mula, ruled by Ketu, closes the transit by uprooting beliefs held without examination, the hardest third.

Rahu's favourable transit houses, the third, sixth and eleventh from the Moon, fall to Libra, Cancer and Aquarius Moon signs. Sagittarius Moons carry Rahu in the first house and feel restlessness, a hunger for travel and confusion about what they believe. Gemini Moons have Ketu in the first and Rahu in the seventh, where partners from other cultures appear. Taurus Moons meet Rahu in the eighth and Capricorn Moons in the twelfth, with the lagna counted alongside.

What is shown is the appetite for a belief that explains everything. Rahu in Sagittarius offers many such beliefs and reveals which were adopted to avoid the work of practice. False gurus and legal shortcuts are the outer risks.

The remedy is fidelity to one teacher and one text. Recite Om Ram Rahave Namah, worship Durga, and give dark cloth or sesame on Saturday as Parashara's graha shanti allows. Honour the guru on Thursday as well, since the sign lord is Jupiter.
