Moon Transit in Virgo

Virgo belongs to Mercury, and the Moon counts Mercury a friend. Budha counts Chandra an enemy, so the passage carries a small friction. The stay lasts about two to three days, and the mind turns critical.

Virgo governs the abdomen, daily work, service and health. The Moon here notices faults, in the routine and in the person. Digestion runs sensitive, and careful, detailed work goes better now than at any other point in the cycle.

The nakshatras are Uttara Phalguni, Hasta and Chitra. Uttara Phalguni, under the Sun, opens with duty and steady help. Hasta, under the Moon, is the most skilful stretch and suits craft, healing and work of the hands, and Chitra, under Mars, closes with building and display.

Gochara counts the Moon well in the first, third, sixth, seventh, tenth and eleventh from the natal Moon: Virgo, Cancer, Aries, Pisces, Sagittarius and Scorpio Moons. Aquarius Moons meet Chandrashtama and should postpone anything contentious, and Libra Moons carry it in the twelfth, where energy dips.

The passage shows the standard a person holds themselves to, and criticism aimed at others now is often self-criticism. Correct one small thing quietly.

Keep the food plain and the day ordered.

• Do careful, detailed work during Hasta.
• Serve in some practical way without announcing it.
• Hold back criticism for the length of the passage.

Moon in Virgo for each Moon sign

Counted from the natal Moon, following Phaladeepika. Ashtam Chandra is the Moon in the 8th from the natal Moon. Read the ascendant the same way. Vedha and the birth chart can change the result.
