What Rahu in Capricorn means
Capricorn is Saturn's sign, and Saturn is Rahu's friend in the usual lists. In Saturn's own house Rahu is disciplined and effective. For about a year and a half it amplifies career, ambition, government, public position and large organisations. Sudden rises in status belong to this transit, and so do sudden exposures.
Ketu stands in Cancer, the sign of home and the mother. Rahu drives the person toward achievement and Ketu loosens the ties to home and feeling. Long hours, foreign postings and distance from family are common. The person may gain a position and lose the sense of why they wanted it.
The nakshatras are Uttara Ashadha, Shravana and Dhanishta, and Rahu crosses them backward. Dhanishta, ruled by Mars, opens the stay with wealth, ambition and a hunger to be seen at the top.
