What Venus in Taurus means
Taurus is Shukra's own sign, held for about twenty-five days, and Venus commands it with full strength. The earthy, fixed sign suits a graha of comfort and value, and ease comes readily during the stay.
Taurus governs the face, speech, food and family wealth. In its own sign Venus sweetens all of them. Money, art, food and married life each go well. Indulgence sets in where nothing checks it.
The nakshatras are Krittika, Rohini and Mrigashira. Krittika, under the Sun, opens with judgement and cutting. Rohini, under the Moon, is the most fertile stretch for anything meant to grow, including marriage, and Mrigashira, under Mars, closes the stay with searching and comparison.
Classical gochara counts Venus difficult only in the sixth, seventh and tenth from the natal Moon. Sagittarius, Scorpio and Leo Moons carry it in those houses through this stay. The remaining nine Moon signs receive it well, and Taurus Moons hold it in the first, the easiest position of the year for comfort.
A strong Venus shows a person what they call enough. Comfort taken for granted becomes something the mind defends, so give one thing away during this stay.
Guard the throat and keep the food simple.
- Recite Om Dram Dreem Draum Sah Shukraya Namah on Friday.
- Begin lasting work, including marriage talk, during Rohini.
- Give one thing away that would be easy to keep.
