What Venus in Krittika nakshatra means

Agni is the deity of Krittika, its symbol a razor or a flame, and the Sun is its lord. The first pada lies in Aries and the other three in Taurus, so Venus spends most of its eleven days in its own sign. Parashara counts the Sun as an enemy of Venus. The nakshatra lord is hostile, the sign lord for three padas is Venus itself, and the two pull in different directions.

Comfort meets heat. Venus's significations, love, art, wealth and the pleasures of the table, are sharpened here and sometimes burnt. Words in a relationship cut more than intended. Cooking, metalwork, fire ceremonies and any art that needs a blade do well, and a critic's eye is useful for the days.

The first pada, in Aries, is the least comfortable, since Mars's heat adds to the Sun's enmity. From the second pada on, in Taurus, Venus recovers its ease, and money spent on the home or on food is well spent. Digestion and the eyes, both of Agni and the Sun, are worth watching.

For the Aries pada, Scorpio, Libra and Cancer Moons should take care; for the Taurus padas, Sagittarius, Scorpio and Leo Moons. Every other Moon sign has Venus in one of the nine houses Phaladeepika names as favourable for it. Taurus and Aries Moons, with Venus in the first, feel the transit as a rise in appetite and attraction.

Over these days one sees whether one's desire survives criticism. Venus in Krittika burns off what was only sentiment. The remedy is Om Shukraya Namah with a lamp to Agni, and white cloth or curd given on Friday. Add a fast from harsh speech for the length of the transit.
