Venus Transit in Sagittarius

Sagittarius belongs to Jupiter, whom Venus counts neutral, and Shukra passes through in about twenty-four days. Pleasure meets principle here and takes on a purpose, and relationships turn toward shared belief.

Sagittarius governs the thighs, dharma, teaching and long travel. Venus here favours travel, teaching and marriage across distance. Generosity rises and so does expense, and enjoyment carries less guilt than usual.

The nakshatras are Mula, Purva Ashadha and Uttara Ashadha. Mula, under Ketu, opens by pulling at the root of an attachment, and Purva Ashadha is Venus's own nakshatra, so the middle days carry conviction and charm together. Uttara Ashadha, under the Sun, closes with commitments that hold.

Classical gochara counts Venus difficult only in the sixth, seventh and tenth from the natal Moon. Cancer, Gemini and Pisces Moons carry it in those houses through this stay, and the other nine receive it well. Sagittarius Moons hold it in the first, which favours travel and good company.

The stay shows what a person shares with the people they love, and belief is where a bond gets tested. Name what the two of you are working toward.

Guard the thighs and the spending.

• Recite Om Dram Dreem Draum Sah Shukraya Namah on Friday.
• Make commitments during Uttara Ashadha where the chart allows.
• Give to a teacher or a place of learning during the stay.
