What Venus in Rohini nakshatra means
Rohini is the Moon's nakshatra in Taurus, the sign of Venus. Its deity is Brahma as Prajapati, lord of creatures, and its symbol is a cart. Parashara lists the Moon as an enemy of Venus, and the Moon in turn holds Venus as neutral. Venus in Rohini is in its own sign, which is also the sign of the Moon's exaltation, and the enmity matters little.
This is one of the most fertile placements Venus can take in transit. Growth, beauty, dairy, agriculture, jewellery, music and pleasure all rise for the eleven days or so of the stay. Marriage, conception and the buying of a home or a vehicle suit the window. Muhurta Chintamani counts Rohini among the nakshatras fit for a wedding.
A retrograde loop has stretched one stay to around three and a half weeks. Comfort is the risk. Venus and the Moon together make the mind soft, and the softness can become indulgence in food, in spending and in sleep. The throat and the face, which Taurus rules, respond to care taken now.
