Moon Transit in Hasta

Hasta, the Moon's own nakshatra, fills the heart of Virgo, and Mercury, lord of Virgo, is the Moon's friend. Savitr, the Sun as the one who impels, is its deity. Its symbol is an open hand. In its own nakshatra within a friend's sign the Moon is settled and skilful, and craft, exactness and service come naturally.

Muhurta Chintamani classes Hasta as laghu, light. The light nakshatras suit work that should be finished quickly and well, such as trade, medicine, ornaments, learning, handcraft and a short trip, and anything meant to last for decades waits for a dhruva day. The Moon spends about a day here. It is one of the month's most useful days for getting things done.

From the birth nakshatra, Hasta is sampat for Krittika, Uttara Phalguni and Uttara Ashadha, and kshema for Ashwini, Magha and Mula. Sadhana falls to Pushya, Anuradha and Uttara Bhadrapada. Ardra, Swati and Shatabhisha have mitra, and Mrigashira, Chitra and Dhanishta have parama mitra.

The unfavourable taras are vipat for Bharani, Purva Phalguni and Purva Ashadha, and pratyak for Ashlesha, Jyeshtha and Revati. Naidhana falls to Punarvasu, Vishakha and Purva Bhadrapada. Rohini, Hasta and Shravana births have their janma tara.
