Sun Transit in Aquarius

Aquarius belongs to Saturn, whom the Sun counts an enemy. Saturn's airy sign holds Surya less tightly than Capricorn does, and the Sun works here through groups and networks.

Aquarius governs the calves and ankles, and also gains, networks and causes taken up for others. During the month the Sun lights up a person's standing in their circle, older friendships come up for review, and income arrives through the people a person knows.

The nakshatras are Dhanishta, Shatabhisha and Purva Bhadrapada. Dhanishta, under Mars, opens the stay with drive. Shatabhisha, under Rahu, brings isolation and healing together and suits medicine and research. Purva Bhadrapada, under Jupiter, closes it with severity and resolve.

Phaladeepika places the Sun well in the third, sixth, tenth and eleventh from the Moon, which here means Sagittarius, Virgo, Taurus and Aries Moons. For Leo Moons the Sun sits in the seventh, and a partner asserts themselves. Aquarius Moons hold it in the first, and the body asks for rest.

The month tests what a person wants from belonging. A circle joined for recognition feels less satisfying now. Serving a cause without being named in it settles the mind quickly.

Guard the ankles and keep the feet warm.

• Offer arghya at sunrise and keep up the practice through the stay.
• Give to a cause quietly, with no record of your name.
• Mend one friendship that lapsed through neglect.
