What Saturn in Aquarius means
Aquarius is Saturn's own sign and its moolatrikona, which Parashara places in the first twenty degrees. Saturn is at its strongest and most itself here. The sign rules gains, large groups, society, friends, elder siblings, ideals and the circulation of the body. For about two and a half years Saturn works through collective life.
Gains come during this transit, and they come through networks, places of learning and service, and shared effort. Saturn in Aquarius favours the reformer, the scientist, the social worker and anyone whose work reaches many people. The gains are slow and they last.
The nakshatras are Dhanishta, Shatabhisha and Purva Bhadrapada. Shatabhisha, ruled by Rahu, is the middle third and the most unconventional, with healing, research and secrecy as its themes. Purva Bhadrapada, ruled by Jupiter, turns the stay toward austerity and spiritual purpose at the end.
