Sun Transit in Pisces

Pisces belongs to Jupiter, and the Sun counts Jupiter a friend. Surya closes the solar year here in about a month. Meena Sankranti opens the second of the two pauses the tradition keeps, when new ceremonies wait, and the stay suits withdrawal.

Pisces governs the feet, sleep, imagination and release, and the Sun lights what a person is ready to put down, and energy runs lower than in any other month of the year. Expenses and travel both rise toward the end.

The nakshatras are Purva Bhadrapada, Uttara Bhadrapada and Revati. Purva Bhadrapada, under Jupiter, opens with severity and tapas. Uttara Bhadrapada, under Saturn, is the deepest stretch, quiet and steadying, and Revati, under Mercury, closes the solar year with completion and safe passage.

Phaladeepika places the Sun well in the third, sixth, tenth and eleventh from the Moon: Capricorn, Libra, Gemini and Taurus Moons. Virgo Moons carry it in the seventh. Pisces Moons hold it in the first, where the feet swell and sleep grows heavy.
