What Saturn in Rohini nakshatra means
Rohini is the Moon's own nakshatra, and the Moon is Saturn's enemy. It lies in Taurus, the sign of Venus, which is Saturn's friend, so the sign welcomes the graha and the nakshatra does not. The deity is Prajapati, Brahma as creator, and the symbol is a cart.
Rohini grows things: crops, cattle, children, wealth and the pleasures of the senses. Saturn slows the growth and asks what it costs. Comfort is reduced, expenses on the family rise, and the pleasures one leaned on lose their taste for a time. Varahamihira's Brihat Samhita treats a malefic piercing Rohini's cart as an omen of scarcity, and a private form of that dryness shows here.
A single visit runs about five months. Saturn's retrograde usually brings it back, so the whole passage spreads over about a year in two or three visits.
Attachment to comfort is what comes into view, and how much of one's peace was bought. Rohini's Moon wants softness, and Saturn withholds it until softness is no longer required. The person who can rest without luxury passes through with a steadier heart.
Care for the mother and for the land. Feed cattle, give milk or rice on Monday alongside the Saturday sesame, and keep the house calm. Om Sham Shanaishcharaya Namah and a sesame oil lamp on Saturday are the Shani supports. An offering to Prajapati, for the growth of what is honestly earned, fits the nakshatra.
From the Moon, Gemini, Taurus and Aries Moon signs are in Sade Sati, with Taurus in the middle phase. Aquarius Moons have Saturn in the fourth, the Kantaka position, and Libra Moons in the eighth.
