Saturn Transit in Rohini

Rohini is the Moon's own nakshatra, and Saturn counts the Moon an enemy. It lies in Taurus, the sign of Venus, Saturn's friend, so Saturn is comfortable in the sign and uneasy with the nakshatra lord. The deity is Prajapati, Brahma as creator, and the symbol is a cart.

Rohini grows things: crops, cattle, children, wealth and the pleasures of the senses. Saturn slows the growth and asks what it costs, so comfort is reduced, family expenses rise, and the pleasures one leaned on lose their taste for a time. A single visit runs about five months. Saturn's retrograde usually brings it back, so the whole passage spreads over about a year in two or three visits.

From the Moon, Gemini, Taurus and Aries Moon signs are in Sade Sati, with Taurus in the middle phase. Aquarius Moons have Saturn in the fourth, the Kantaka position, and Libra Moons in the eighth. Pisces, Sagittarius and Cancer Moons and lagnas have the third, sixth and eleventh, Phaladeepika's favourable houses, and gain from the stay.

Attachment to comfort comes into view, and how much of one's peace was bought. Rohini's Moon wants softness and Saturn withholds it for a while. Resting without luxury keeps the heart steadier through the stay.

Care for the mother and for the land. Feed cattle, give milk or rice on Monday alongside the Saturday sesame, and keep the house calm, with Om Sham Shanaishcharaya Namah and a sesame oil lamp on Saturday as the Shani supports. An offering to Prajapati, for the growth of what is honestly earned, fits the nakshatra.
