Jupiter Transit in Rohini

Jupiter counts the Moon a friend, and Rohini is the Moon's own nakshatra. Its deity is Prajapati, the creator, and its symbol is a cart. The whole of it lies in Taurus, Venus's sign, and Venus is Jupiter's enemy, so Jupiter is comfortable with the nakshatra lord and less so with the sign.

Rohini is fertility, and Jupiter is the karaka of children and wealth. Conceptions, harvests, purchases of land and cattle and the growth of savings are the plain results. Prajapati creates. The person creates with him.

Venus's sign adds comfort and appetite, and Jupiter, which expands whatever it touches, expands the body and the pantry here. Watch weight, sugar and the liver, since the sign lord and the graha disagree about how much is enough.

• Aries, Capricorn, Scorpio, Virgo and Cancer Moons and lagnas have Jupiter in the second, fifth, seventh, ninth and eleventh, Phaladeepika's favourable houses.
• Taurus Moons carry it in the first house, which gives standing and a heavier body.
• Gemini, Aquarius, Sagittarius and Libra Moons, with Jupiter in the twelfth, fourth, sixth and eighth, should spend and eat with care.

Rohini reads a person through abundance, and the month's accounts show whether gains are shared or held.

Honour Prajapati by planting something or feeding a cow on Monday. Japa of Om Brihaspataye Namah on Thursday and Parashara's dana of yellow cloth, turmeric or gram keep the graha generous. Give a part of every gain away in the same week it arrives.
