What Mars in Rohini nakshatra means
Rohini lies wholly in Taurus, Venus's sign, and belongs to the Moon. Brahma as Prajapati is its deity and a cart its symbol. Mars counts the Moon as a friend and Venus as neutral, so the transit is workable and productive. Rohini's field is growth, fertility, agriculture, beauty and material increase.
Mars stays about nineteen days. Effort turns toward building, planting, cooking and the making of things that last. Land purchases and construction are favoured, and brothers may help with money. Mars in a Venus sign pushes desire harder than usual, and jealousy in relationships is the recurring complaint.
The face, throat and neck are the body areas Taurus governs. Mars here inflames them. Overeating and drinking to excess are common under Rohini's abundance and Mars's appetite.
Pisces, Sagittarius and Cancer Moons and lagnas have Mars in the third, sixth and eleventh houses, which Phaladeepika lists as Mars's favourable transit positions. They gain from effort, defeat rivals and see income rise. Taurus Moons carry Mars on the lagna and feel restless and hot. Aquarius, Scorpio and Libra Moons, with Mars in the fourth, seventh and eighth, should take care at home, in partnership and with the body.
Possession is Rohini's question. This is the nakshatra the Moon loves most, and Mars here shows whether wanting leads to work or to grasping. A steady worker builds. An impatient one quarrels over what was never theirs.
Worship Hanuman on Tuesday and offer white flowers to Prajapati for steadiness. Japa of Om Angarakaya Namah before work settles the appetite. The dana for Mars is red lentils or copper. Give food, which Rohini governs, and the transit turns generous.
