What Jupiter in Libra means
Libra is the sign of Venus, Jupiter's enemy in Parashara's table. Jupiter is a guest in a rival's house. The sign rules marriage, partnership, business, courts and public dealings, and Jupiter spends about a year bringing principle into each of them. The results are good for the fair and slow for the rest.
Marriage is the first theme. Proposals, weddings and the repair of strained partnerships all come under this transit. Business partnerships formed now need a written agreement, because Jupiter in an enemy's sign gives generosity without the caution that Venus would prefer. Legal matters move toward settlement.
The nakshatras are Chitra, Swati and Vishakha. Swati, ruled by Rahu, is the middle third and favours trade, travel and independent work. Vishakha is Jupiter's own nakshatra, and the final stretch of the stay gives purpose, ambition fulfilled and the completion of long efforts.
From the Moon, Virgo, Gemini, Aries, Aquarius and Sagittarius have Jupiter in the second, fifth, seventh, ninth and eleventh, Phaladeepika's favourable houses.
