What Saturn in Cancer means
The Moon rules Cancer and counts Saturn as an enemy, so Saturn is uneasy here. The sign rules the home, the mother, the mind and the sense of safety.
Saturn strains each of them for about two and a half years. This is one of the harder Saturn transits for emotional life. Loneliness, distance from family, worry about property and a dry heart are its common shapes.
One part of the stay is different. Pushya, the middle nakshatra of Cancer, is ruled by Saturn itself. In Pushya, Saturn gives its steadiness without the coldness, and duties toward home and elders are carried well. Punarvasu at the start and Ashlesha at the end are less kind, with Ashlesha's Mercury rulership adding suspicion and sharp words.

Remedy here is care of the home and the elders. Feed the old, keep the house in order, and give milk or rice on Monday alongside the Saturday sesame oil. The Shani mantra, Om Sham Shanaishcharaya Namah, and the Hanuman Chalisa on Saturday are the traditional supports.
