What Jupiter in Vishakha nakshatra means
Vishakha is Jupiter's own nakshatra, with Indra and Agni as joint deities and a triumphal arch as its symbol. Three padas lie in Libra, Venus's sign, and the fourth in Scorpio, the sign of Mars. Venus is Jupiter's enemy and Mars its friend, so the ground improves as the graha advances. In its own nakshatra Jupiter keeps its strength through both signs.
The completed stays run about five months, the longer one near seven, and the retrograde usually returns Jupiter here. Vishakha is purpose held over time. Long studies are completed, a case is won after years, a marriage long delayed is finally made. Indra gives the victory, and Agni gives the discipline that earned it.
The Scorpio pada carries the fiercer side. Jupiter there gives gains through research, insurance, inheritance and the occult sciences, and a teacher of tantra may appear.
Virgo, Gemini, Aries, Aquarius and Sagittarius Moons have Jupiter in the houses Phaladeepika lists as favourable during the Libra padas. In the Scorpio pada those houses belong to Libra, Cancer, Taurus, Pisces and Capricorn Moons. Libra Moons carry it in the first for most of the stay, and Scorpio Moons at the end. The lagna is counted the same way.
Ambition is the matter Vishakha raises. Jupiter's wisdom and Indra's appetite for conquest share the same nakshatra, and the transit reveals which of them steers.
Feed the sacred fire with ghee on Thursday and recite Om Brihaspataye Namah. Parashara's dana of yellow cloth, turmeric or gram is fitting in an own nakshatra. Guru dakshina, and one goal set aside so that another can be finished, are the practice.
