What Mercury in Swati nakshatra means
Vayu, the wind, is the deity of Swati, and its symbol is a young shoot bending in that wind. Rahu is the lord, neutral to Mercury in the usual lists. The nakshatra lies in Libra, Venus's sign, and Venus is Mercury's friend. Mercury here is quick, independent and slightly unmoored.
