What Venus in Swati nakshatra means
Swati is Rahu's nakshatra in the heart of Libra, Venus's own sign. Vayu, the wind, is its deity, and its symbol is a young shoot bending in the wind. Rahu is read as Saturn by the rule Shanivat Rahu, and Saturn is a friend of Venus. Venus in Swati is in its own sign under a friendly lord, one of the easier placements in the cycle.
Trade is the first theme. Venus here gains through business, through the market, through foreign goods and through the pleasing of many people at once. Diplomacy, sales, perfume, the arts of the stage and the buying of a vehicle go well. The stay is around eleven days, and a retrograde loop has stretched it once to about six weeks.
Swati is a chara nakshatra in muhurta and suits movement: a trip for pleasure, a change of house, the opening of a shop. Muhurta Chintamani also counts it fit for a wedding. Rahu brings the wish for more, and Venus in the wind can want a new pleasure every day.
