Ketu Transit in Capricorn

Capricorn belongs to Saturn, and Saturn and Ketu share a taste for austerity. Ketu is steady in this sign of work and structure. For about a year and a half it works on career, status, government, duty and the long climb, and it works by subtraction. Attachment to position is loosened.

Rahu stands in Cancer, pulling toward emotional intensity, home and new surroundings. Ketu in Capricorn withdraws from ambition and from the public role. The person may step down, be passed over, or find that a promotion no longer matters. Each is the same lesson from a different side.

The nakshatras are Uttara Ashadha, Shravana and Dhanishta. Ketu moves backward, so Dhanishta, ruled by Mars, opens the stay with a cut between ambition that serves and ambition that consumes. Shravana, ruled by the Moon, is the middle third and favours listening, learning and quiet service under a senior. Ketu's favourable transit houses, the third, sixth and eleventh from the Moon, fall to Scorpio, Leo and Pisces Moon signs. Capricorn Moons carry Ketu in the first house and feel detached from career, tired of duty and drawn to simplicity. Cancer Moons have Rahu in the first and Ketu in the seventh, where partnership feels unsettled. Gemini Moons meet Ketu in the eighth and Aquarius Moons in the twelfth, and the lagna is counted the same way.

Ketu in Capricorn shows identification with work. It reveals how much of oneself was the job, and leaves the worker who works for the work's sake. Knees and joints, which Capricorn rules, need care.

The remedy is duty without attachment. Worship Ganesha, recite Om Kem Ketave Namah, and give a blanket to a labourer on Tuesday, which joins Saturn's remedy to Ketu's. Keep working, and let the credit go where it will.
