What Ketu in Mrigashira nakshatra means
Mrigashira is Mars's nakshatra, and Ketu behaves like Mars, so the lord of the star is kin. Soma is its deity and a deer's head its symbol. The first two padas lie in Taurus, owned by Venus, who is neutral. The last two lie in Gemini, owned by Mercury, whom Mars counts an enemy.
Ketu moves backward, entering at the fourth pada in Gemini and leaves from the first pada in Taurus. The stay runs about eight months. When the true node runs direct for a few weeks, the stay divides into two visits. Mrigashira's themes are the search, curiosity, fragrance and wandering.
Under Ketu the search stops. A person who has looked for years for a teacher or a place finds the looking falls away. What was sought is often found to have been near all along. In the Gemini padas the mind grows quiet and the nerves need care; in the Taurus padas the body wants less.
