What Ketu in Mula nakshatra means
Mula is Ketu's own nakshatra at the start of Sagittarius, with Nirriti as its deity and a bundle of roots as its symbol. Jupiter owns the sign and is Mars's friend, so Ketu, by the Kujavat rule, is welcome in both star and sign.
Around seven months pass in the stay, backward from the fourth pada to the first, which touches the gandanta with Jyeshtha. A direct spell of the true node can split the stay into two visits. Rahu stands in Ardra, its own star, for the first half, and in Mrigashira for the second.
Mula's themes are the root cause, investigation to the bottom, medicine, destruction that clears, and Nirriti's office of taking things apart. Under Ketu the digging is thorough. Whatever has no root falls: a career built on a wrong premise, a belief never examined, a relationship held up by convenience. The person who wants to know why, and keeps asking, is served well in these months.
