Sun Transit in Mrigashira

Mrigashira, the deer's head, has Soma as its deity and Mars as its lord. Its first two padas lie in Taurus and the last two in Gemini, and Mithuna Sankranti falls at the third pada, when the Sun leaves Venus's sign for Mercury's. Mars is the Sun's friend and Mercury is neutral.

The Sun stays about two weeks. This nakshatra searches, so the Sun's significations turn to seeking a post, a doctor, a teacher or something lost. Travel comes up, including short trips on official work. Near the end of the stay the first rains reach parts of India, and the body feels the change.
