What Venus in Shatabhisha nakshatra means
Varuna, lord of the waters and keeper of the law, presides over Shatabhisha, in the middle of Aquarius. Rahu is its lord and its symbol is an empty circle, or a hundred healers. Rahu is read as Saturn by the rule Shanivat Rahu, and Saturn is a friend of Venus. Saturn also owns Aquarius, so Venus is doubly supported here, by the nakshatra lord and by the sign lord.
Healing is the theme. Venus in Shatabhisha favours medicine, especially the alternative and the foreign, secluded pleasures, and the arts made alone. Wealth comes through technology, through the sea and through people far away. Love is private, sometimes hidden, and the person prefers a small circle for the eleven days or so of the stay.
Shatabhisha is a chara nakshatra in muhurta and suits travel, a change of residence, and the start of a course of treatment. Muhurta Chintamani does not count it for a wedding. Rahu adds a taste for the unusual, and Venus under Rahu can be drawn to what is exotic and unwise. The empty circle is also the veil, and a secret affair is the classic trouble of the transit.
