What Venus in Vishakha nakshatra means
Vishakha closes Libra and reaches one pada into Scorpio. Its deities are Indra and Agni together, its lord is Jupiter, and its symbol is a triumphal arch, or a potter's wheel. Venus holds Jupiter as neutral in Parashara's table, and in the Libra padas Venus is in its own sign. In the Scorpio pada it enters the sign of Mars, also neutral, and the ease of Libra ends.
The theme is purpose in desire. Vishakha wants a result, and Venus here pursues a marriage, a sale or a work of art with unusual determination for around eleven days. Ambition enters love. Wealth is chased with Indra's appetite and Agni's heat, and the cost is usually paid in gentleness.
Muhurta Chintamani places Vishakha among the mishra nakshatras, mixed in quality. It suits an agnihotra, a festival, and the pressing of a matter already begun. It is left out of the list for a wedding. The Scorpio pada is where jealousy can enter the relationship and a purchase can turn into a dispute.
