What Venus in Purva Phalguni nakshatra means
Purva Phalguni is Venus's own nakshatra in the middle third of Leo. Bhaga, the Aditya who grants enjoyment and one's share of fortune, is its deity, and its symbol is the front legs of a cot. Venus is in its own nakshatra and in the sign of the Sun, its enemy. The graha is at home in the house of a rival.
Pleasure is the whole theme. Rest, love-making, music, festivals, theatre and the enjoyment of wealth already earned come forward for the eleven days or so of the stay. Creative work made for delight does well. The cot is for lying down, and the transit is not one for hard beginnings.
Purva Phalguni is an ugra nakshatra, and Muhurta Chintamani does not list it for a wedding. The days suit a celebration of a marriage already made, a gift to a lover, and the buying of things that give comfort. Excess is the plain risk. Venus in the Sun's sign spends for show, and a bill arrives after Bhaga's feast.
Leo, Cancer, Gemini, Taurus, Aries, Capricorn, Sagittarius, Libra and Virgo Moons have Venus in the houses Phaladeepika calls favourable and enjoy the days freely.
