Sun Transit in Purva Phalguni

Purva Phalguni, the front legs of the cot, lies in Leo under Venus, with Bhaga as its deity. Venus is the Sun's enemy, and the sign is the Sun's own. Bhaga is one of the Adityas, the giver of shares and of married happiness, and here the Sun is a king at rest in his own house.

For about two weeks the Sun's significations relax. Government spends on festivals and welfare. A father is generous, and anyone in authority is expected to entertain. Marriage proposals, engagements and the settlement of shared property come up, and late nights tire the eyes and rich food tires the heart.

The nakshatra is ugra, and its fierceness lies in enjoyment pursued without limit. In Venus's nakshatra the Sun can spend its strength on pleasure and leave duty for later. Bhaga gives the share, and the person decides whether to share it further.
