What Sun in Vishakha nakshatra means

Indra and Agni share Vishakha, the triumphal arch and the potter's wheel, and Jupiter rules it. Three padas lie in Libra and the fourth in Scorpio. The Sun enters Mars's sign at Vrischika Sankranti at the fourth pada and comes out of debilitation there. Jupiter and Mars are both the Sun's friends, and the graha gains strength through the stay.

Vishakha is purpose, and over a stay of about two weeks the Sun's significations recover their aim after Swati. A father presses for results, and the person with a post is asked what it is for. Indra gives the drive and Agni the heat, and both are on hand.

The Libra padas keep the Sun weak in the sign, so the first ten days show ambition without full means. The Scorpio pada gives the means. A project begun in this fortnight tends to be pushed hard.

The transit shows what the person wants and how far they will go for it. Vishakha is mishra, and the mixture is of the wish and its price.

Water to the rising Sun and Om Suryaya Namah. For Indra and Agni, a homa or a lamp kept through the fortnight. Give copper on Sunday, name one goal for the stay, and leave the rest until the Sun has moved on.

Read from the Moon or the lagna, the Libra padas give Leo, Taurus, Capricorn and Sagittarius the third, sixth, tenth and eleventh. In the Scorpio pada those houses pass to Virgo, Gemini, Aquarius and Capricorn. Libra and then Scorpio Moons carry the Sun in the first, and Sagittarius Moons meet it in the twelfth once it enters Scorpio.
