Moon Transit in Anuradha

Anuradha lies in the middle of Scorpio, the sign of the Moon's debility. Saturn rules it. Its deity is Mitra, god of friendship and the kept promise, and its symbol is a lotus or an archway. The Moon regards Saturn as neutral, and Saturn regards the Moon as an enemy. For the Moon this is the kindest part of Scorpio, and a debilitated Moon here keeps its capacity for devotion.

Muhurta Chintamani classes Anuradha as mridu, soft, along with Mrigashira, Chitra and Revati, and gives such days to friendship, music, clothes, ornaments, love and the fine arts. Anuradha in particular suits group work, an alliance, and settling a quarrel between friends. The Moon stays about a day. The mind is loyal and patient, and a little melancholy.

From the birth nakshatra, Anuradha is sampat for Punarvasu, Vishakha and Purva Bhadrapada, and kshema for Mrigashira, Chitra and Dhanishta. It is sadhana for Krittika, Uttara Phalguni and Uttara Ashadha, mitra for Ashwini, Magha and Mula, and parama mitra for Ashlesha, Jyeshtha and Revati.

Ardra, Swati and Shatabhisha meet vipat. Rohini, Hasta and Shravana meet pratyak. Bharani, Purva Phalguni and Purva Ashadha meet naidhana. Those born in Pushya, Anuradha and Uttara Bhadrapada have their janma tara.

The day shows how the mind holds friendship when it is low. A debilitated Moon feels its lack. Mitra's nakshatra answers it with loyalty given without expectation.

Visit or call a friend who has been ill or forgotten, and say nothing about yourself. Milk offered to Shiva on Monday suits the day, and a lotus too, if one can be found.
