What Moon in Krittika nakshatra means
Krittika begins in the last pada of Aries and runs through the first three padas of Taurus. Its lord is the Sun, its deity Agni, and its symbol a razor or a flame. The Sun is the Moon's friend, and the Taurus padas hold the Moon's exaltation degree. The Moon is well placed here for most of its stay of about a day.
Muhurta Chintamani calls Krittika a mishra nakshatra, mixed. Fire rites, agnihotra, and daily work that carries some heat go well. So does any task with a cutting edge: pruning, editing, ending a contract. The day is less kind to soft undertakings such as marriage, reconciliation or the first meeting with a new partner.
Tara bala from the birth nakshatra:
- Sampat: Bharani, Purva Phalguni, Purva Ashadha.
- Kshema: Ashlesha, Jyeshtha, Revati. Sadhana: Punarvasu, Vishakha, Purva Bhadrapada.
- Mitra: Mrigashira, Chitra, Dhanishta. Parama mitra: Rohini, Hasta, Shravana.
- Vipat: Ashwini, Magha, Mula. Pratyak: Pushya, Anuradha, Uttara Bhadrapada.
- Naidhana: Ardra, Swati, Shatabhisha.
Those born in Krittika, Uttara Phalguni and Uttara Ashadha have their janma tara. Read the day from the Moon sign as well. Through the Taurus padas, Taurus, Pisces, Sagittarius, Scorpio, Leo and Cancer Moons hold the day's Moon in a favourable house. Libra Moons have it in the eighth, the chandrashtama.
Agni purifies by consuming. Under this Moon a person can see which habit is fuel and which is fire, and what the mind is ready to burn. Light a lamp at dusk, offer the Sun water at dawn, and keep the Moon's mantra for the evening.
