What Moon in Uttara Ashadha nakshatra means
Uttara Ashadha begins with one pada in Sagittarius and runs through three in Capricorn. The Sun rules it, the Vishvadevas, the all-gods, are its deities, and its symbol is an elephant's tusk or the planks of a bed. The Sun and the Moon are mutual friends, and the day carries their agreement. The last quarter of the nakshatra is Abhijit, the intercalary star that muhurta prizes above most others.
Muhurta Chintamani places Uttara Ashadha among the dhruva nakshatras, fixed. Marriage, a foundation, planting, coronation, the entry into a house and the start of a long practice all suit it. Movement and quick trade suit it less. The Moon stays about a day, and in Capricorn, Saturn's sign, it is sober and dutiful.
From the birth nakshatra, Uttara Ashadha is sampat for Bharani, Purva Phalguni and Purva Ashadha, and kshema for Ashlesha, Jyeshtha and Revati. Sadhana falls to Punarvasu, Vishakha and Purva Bhadrapada, mitra to Mrigashira, Chitra and Dhanishta, and parama mitra to Rohini, Hasta and Shravana.
Ashwini, Magha and Mula meet vipat. Pushya, Anuradha and Uttara Bhadrapada meet pratyak. Ardra, Swati and Shatabhisha meet naidhana. Krittika, Uttara Phalguni and Uttara Ashadha births have their janma tara.
The day shows what a person will finish. Uttara Ashadha is the victory that comes late and stays. Under this Moon the mind can tell a real commitment from a passing enthusiasm.
The fitting practice is to complete something left half done, without an audience. Offer water to the Sun at dawn and milk to Shiva at dusk.
