What Moon in Punarvasu nakshatra means

Punarvasu covers the last three padas of Gemini and the first pada of Cancer. Jupiter rules it, Aditi, the mother of the gods, is its deity, and its symbol is a bow with its quiver. The name means the return of light. The Moon is neutral toward Jupiter; Jupiter counts the Moon a friend, and the fourth pada brings the Moon into its own sign.

In muhurta this is a chara nakshatra, movable. Muhurta Chintamani gives such days to travel, vehicles, riding, gardening and any work that involves motion. Returning home, resuming a stopped practice and renewing an old friendship all suit the day well. Foundations and fixed commitments wait for a dhruva day.

The stay is about a day. Tara bala counted from the birth nakshatra:

  • Sampat: Ardra, Swati and Shatabhisha. Kshema: Rohini, Hasta and Shravana.
  • Sadhana: Bharani, Purva Phalguni and Purva Ashadha. Mitra: Ashlesha, Jyeshtha and Revati.
  • Parama mitra: Pushya, Anuradha and Uttara Bhadrapada.
  • Vipat: Mrigashira, Chitra and Dhanishta. Pratyak: Krittika, Uttara Phalguni and Uttara Ashadha.
  • Naidhana: Ashwini, Magha and Mula.

Punarvasu, Vishakha and Purva Bhadrapada births have their janma tara.

Beginning again is what this Moon brings up. Aditi is boundlessness, and what she offers is a second start without the weight of the first failure. The practice is simple: pick up the sadhana that lapsed, sit for the japa you dropped, and forgive one person. Give yellow cloth to a teacher and milk to Shiva on Monday.
