Jupiter Transit in Anuradha

Anuradha lies in Scorpio, Mars's sign, and Mars is Jupiter's friend. Saturn rules the nakshatra and is neutral toward Jupiter. Mitra, god of friendship and the kept oath, presides, and the symbol is a lotus or an archway, so Jupiter finds a friendly sign and a lord that neither helps nor hinders.

The visits are brief, and the themes arrive quickly. Friendships deepen into alliances, a group forms around a teacher, and devotion becomes organised.

Mitra asks for loyalty, and Saturn asks that it be shown over time. In Scorpio Jupiter gives gains through inheritance, insurance, research and the study of what is hidden. Anuradha adds the company of like-minded seekers. A sangha or satsang begun now lasts.

From the Moon, Libra, Cancer, Taurus, Pisces and Capricorn have Jupiter in the second, fifth, seventh, ninth and eleventh, Phaladeepika's favourable houses. Scorpio Moons carry it in the first house and take on responsibility for others. Sagittarius, Leo, Gemini and Aries Moons, with Jupiter in the twelfth, fourth, sixth and eighth, should keep their friendships clean of money.

Anuradha shows whether devotion to a guru is personal loyalty or love of the truth the guru points to. Both have a place, and a person should know which is theirs.

Visit a friend you have neglected, which is all Mitra asks. Japa of Om Brihaspataye Namah on Thursday and Parashara's dana of yellow cloth, turmeric or gram are the supports. Serve the sangha in some unnoticed way, as Saturn prefers.
