What Jupiter in Uttara Phalguni nakshatra means
Aryaman, the god of contracts and of marriage, presides over Uttara Phalguni. The Sun rules it, and the symbol is the back legs of a cot. The first pada lies in Leo, the rest in Virgo, and the Sun's friendship keeps the lord warm through the whole nakshatra. The Leo pada adds a friendly sign lord, and the Virgo padas give Mercury, an enemy.
Completed stays give a median of about three and a half months. Uttara Phalguni signs the agreement that Purva Phalguni celebrated. Marriages are fixed, partnerships are written down, and a patron's promise is honoured. Jupiter, the karaka of the ninth house, finds here the dharma of keeping one's word.
